Bellini

Bellini is a refined dark bay Hannoverian filly, born in 2008 by the premium stallion Benvenuto out of the outstanding mare Siri who is by the thoroughbred stallion Sugunas.  Bonaventura is light on her feet, moving with grace and elegance captivating all who see her.  She is a half-sister to Bejewelled.

Bellini's father is Benvenuto who was awarded the coveted Premium title at his licensing despite being one of the only stallions not put forward for auction.   He also scored the maximum score of 10 for temperament and character in his performance test.  His father Breitling is currently number one in the German breeding index and is known for producing quality yet trainable offspring who include several licensed sons. Benvenuto’s mother is by the legendary stallion Weltmeyer who won his stallion licencing, his stallion performance test, the Federal Championships and was awarded the title 'Hanoverian Stallion of the Year', although many may argue it should be 'of the Century'.  Weltmeyer has sired more than 100 approved sons, 250 State Premium mares, 11 Bundeschampions, and many successful Grand Prix horses including Olympic Gold medalist Weltall and World Cup winner Warum Nicht. One of the most exciting things Weltmeyer does is stamp his offspring with a wonderful hock action.

Bellini's mother is by the thoroughbred stallion Sugunas.  German performance horse breeding has always returned to the Thoroughbred for soundness, quality and athleticism, and Sugunas is known for reliably passing these qualities on.  He was approved for breeding by the Hannoverians due to his excellent movement and phenomenal trot and produced several offspring who were sold at elite auctions.  Sugunas is by Aderlass who produced several licensed sons.  Aderlass is by Absatz, one of the stallions who had the biggest influence in changing the appearance of Hanoverians to a more modern, elegant type.
