Blue Danube

Blue Danube is an elegant 2009 filly she is by the number dressage stallion Breitling W and full sister to the exquisite Bobbi Dazzler.  She is a filly who is graceful at all times and like her sister she has inherited the wonderful Breitling canter.

Blue Danube’s father Breitling is currently number one in the German breeding index and is known for producing quality yet trainable offspring who include several licensed sons such as Berkeley, Benvenuto, Bertoli, Brioni and our own Baron de Ley as well as hugely successful competition horses such as Balderassini, Biagotti and Blind Date.  For further information please see Breitling’s page in our Sires section.

Blue Danube’s mother is by the legendary stallion Donnerhall who is almost peerless in the world of dressage sires having enjoyed success like no other.  He had a stellar career as a dressage horse, winning some of the most prestigious competitions, including over 65 FEI Grand Prix Dressage classes, World and he was also named Oldenburg Stallion of the Year in 1998.  Donnerhall was a hugely influential sire with some of his most notable offspring including Don Primero Champion 5-year at the 1990 Bundeschampionate and now a Grand Prix horse, Don Schufro who was part of the bronze medal winning Danish team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, De Niro the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year and Davignon who gained record scores at the Bundeschampionate before going on to become a Grand Prix horse.  In addition to this Donnerhall has fathered a whopping 77 licensed stallions.
