Boomerang is a 2008 bay gelding by the impressive stallion Benvenuto out of an exceptional mare line.  As you would expect from his special pedigree, Boomerang is one to watch for the future.  Along with his powerful paces, he has the most wonderful temperament.  He is a joy to be around on the ground and is always willing whether training in the school or out for a hack. With this fantastic combination of a trainable temperament and natural ability he is sure to go on to great things.  Boomerang recently had his first competitive outing where he scored over 70% with the judge commenting that he is one to watch for the future.

 

Boomerang's father is Benvenuto who was awarded the coveted Premium title at his licensing despite being one of the only stallions not put forwards for auction.   He also scored the maximum score of 10 for temperament and character in his performance test.  His father Breitling is currently number one in the German breeding index and is known for producing quality yet trainable offspring who include several licensed sons. Benvenuto’s mother's is by the legendary stallion Weltmeyer who won his stallion licencing, his stallion performance test, the Federal Championships and was awarded the title 'Hanoverian Stallion of the Year', although many may argue it should be 'of the Century'.  Weltmeter has sired more than 100 approved sones, 250 State Premium mares, 11 Bundeschampions, and many successful Grand Prix horses including Olympic Gold medalist Weltall and World Cup winner Warum Nicht. One of the most exciting things Weltmeyerdoes is stamp his offspring with a wonderful hock action.

Boomerang's mother is by Rotspon who was the absolute champion of his stallion performance test, with the best score in rideability. He has produced numerous auction horses,  more than 65 state premium mares including the champion mare of the 2002 Ratje-Niebuhr Show in Verden. Around twenty sons have also been approved, of whom Re Primeur FRH and Royal Blend were each awarded the Burchard Müller Prize as the best stallions of their respective age classes. Rotspon is among the leading dressage sires Germany-wide in the FN breeding value rating.   The damsire Velten Third only briefly covered in the Elbe-Weser River region, but still left state premium mares and a top auction lot in Verden.  Boomerang's grandmother is the State Premium mare Sprite, she is a full sister to the dam of the stallion Wizenzo who won the 70-day test in Marbach with the exceptionally high score of 143.9 in the dressage and 134.2 overall. He scored four 10s and five nines, receiving nines for his paces and 10s for temperament and rideability.  St. Pr. Sprite is by Sherlock Holmes was the reserve champion of his performance test and is known for being a producer of exceptional broodmares.  He has produced several licensed sons and over 40 State Premium mares.  He comes from some of the finest Hanoverian blood and his sire Salvano is the grandsire of Anky Van Grunsven's Olympic gold medal winning mount Salinero. Sprite's grandfather is Consul, who is a legendary supplier of sport and breeding horses.  His offspring included many outstanding stallions (e.g. E.H. Rockefeller), champion mares (his Hanoverian daughter Cleopatra produced the champion Don Frederico, and also the Olympic Gold medalist Bonaparte is out of a Consul-daughter), and exceptional performance horses at all disciplines and levels (e.g. Crisp, Olympic dressage in 2004 in Athens).
