We were so pleased with our 2011 Boston foal from Brindabella (Borealis SC) that we decided to repeat the match for 2012!
Boston is an approved stallion with Oldenburg and Sud Deutschland as well as champion graded stallion with BWBS. He has exceptional movement and conformation together with a very trainable attitude. After grading he stood at the Schwaiganger State Stud for a very successful first year and is currently being ridden by Isabell Werth. His father Jazz is the most famous son of Cocktail, known for producing beautiful horses with fantastic movent. Jazz already has six approved sons, at the pre-selection for the KWPN Stallions 2005/2006 nine sons of Jazz were selected for the second round. Based on the breeding and sport statistics from the offspring, Jazz has been declared "Keur". Jazz has taken the leading position as the worlds most successful sire of dressage horses and has topped the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses (WBFSH) sire rankings. Boston's mother Sebora is a mare with exceptional movement by Flemmingh. She has world-class bloodlines and consistently produces excellent offspring.
Brindabella is a beautiful bay mare, with her exemplary bloodlines we knew that she would be a real asset to our breeding program. She is by Breitling out of a Blue Hors Cavan x Sandro Hit mare so there is little doubting the quality of her lines. Brindabella’s father Breitling has been in the top 3 of the German breeding index for the last 4 years and is known for producing quality yet trainable offspring who include several licensed sons such as Berkeley, Benvenuto, Bertoli, Brioni and our own Baron de Ley as well as hugely successful competition horses such as Balderassini, Biagotti and Blind Date. For further information please see Breitling’s page in our Sires section. Brindabella’s dam sire Blue Hors Cavan made his fame as an international Grand prix horse under Lars Petersen and Andreas Helgstrand. He claimed 49 victories at the Grand Prix level and became four time Danish Dressage Champion. He won 8 World Cup Qualifiers and placed second in the 2002 World Cup Finals. Sadly he was castrated following a testicular hernia in 2000. Brindabella’s Grandmother Summer Breeze is by Paul Schockemohle’s flagship stallion Sandro Hit. He has an outstanding breeding record and founded a new dressage horse dynasty, his foals have consistently attracted very high bids at practically all auctions, though the all-time record auction price of EUR 2.5 million is still held by two-time Bundeschampion, Poetin. For more information on Sandro Hit please see his page in our Sires section.
