Bellatrix is a sensational dark bay filly by Breitling out of an elegant Sandro Hit mare.  Bellatrix has a beautiful frame and her movement is graceful and effortless.  It seems that the experts are in agreement over this special young lady, not only was she the highest scoring dressage foal at her British Equestrian Federation Futurity Evaluation, but she also  received a coveted foal premium from the Oldenburg Verband who described her as a top quality foal.

Breitling has been in the top 3 of the German breeding index  for the last 4 years and is known for producing quality yet trainable offspring who include several licensed sons such as BerkeleyBenvenutoBertoli, Brioni and our own Baron de Ley as well as hugely successful competition horses such as Balderassini, Biagotti and Blind Date.  Breitling is a competition stallion who has nothing left  to prove, having won international Grand Prix classes and Nations Cups, taken first prize in 22 advanced level dressage classes, secured a bronze medal at the German Championship and accumulated over EUR 130,000 in prize money in the dressage arena. His achievements with longstanding rider, Wolfram Wittig, extend right up to the World Cup Tour.  His ability to produce excellent offspring can only be described as phenomenal. Although he has only been used to a limited extent for breeding purposes, meaning that he has relatively few offspring, there are 13 advanced level dressage horses among his first progeny which have collectively won over EUR 72,000 in prize money. Blind Date was the World Championship of Young Dressage Horses favourite in 2007, but she unfortunately suffered an injury shortly before she was due to enter the ring. In 2009, she was back on form when she won the Small Tour at the CHIO Aachen and the Nuremberg Burgpokal final. Biagotti W was a bronze medallist at the World Championship in Verden in 2006 and also qualified for the Burgpokal in 2009. Baldessarini W has won seven advanced dressage classes and competed successfully in international Grand Prix classes, Berkeley W is a successful Grand Prix horse, Meggles Black Jack has won at Grand Prix level, approved stallion Bertoli W was highly placed in St. Georges classes as a seven year-old and Brioni W won an Intermediaire I class as an eight year-old. Barilla W, Bichachu, Balalaika W are also all successful advanced level competition horses. Numerous Breitling progeny have qualified for Bundeschampionat and World Championship finals  Bismarck, an advanced level dressage horse, has a pedigree that goes back to top dressage horse producer, Bolero, whose bloodline recently experienced a renaissance when Belissimo M won the Bundeschampionat. Breitling's dam's full sister produced the successful Grand Prix horse Burlington/Alexandra Simons-de Ridder by Bismarck. Breitling's full sister, Biagotti W, has also competed successfully up to Grand Prix level. Breitling's pedigree includes successful and proven Hanoverian performance genes.

Barracuda is a striking KWPN mare. She has three fabulous paces charecterised by their suspension, cadence and engagement. She combines the best of German and Dutch breeding and was described as “the perfect dressage horse” by judges commenting on her bloodlines. Barracuda’s father is Paul Schockemohle’s flagship stallion Sandro Hit. He has an outstanding breeding record and founded a new dressage horse breeding dynasty, his foals have consistently attracted very high bids at practically all auctions, though the all-time record auction price of EUR 2.5 million is still held by two-time Bundeschampion, Poetin.  For more information on Sandro Hit please see his page in our Sires section.  Barracuda’s mother Tiara is by the stallion Metall whose offspring inherit his stunning conformation, and a high degree of quality and refinement.  They are built very uphill and have beautiful heads.  Their movements show great finesse with much power in the hind legs, lots of elevation in the front legs, and they have supple backs.  Her maternal Grandfather is Balzflug who is bred out of the best performance bloodlines in the Trakehner Studbook. His sire Habicht is noted as one of the most influential sires of excellent dressage ability, having produced many nationally ranked top mares and several approved stallions including Olympic Cocktail.   Having bred three super foals Tiara has now changed career and despite her late start is training successfully with Andrew Gould.
