Mio Weltamore

Mio Weltamore is a flamboyant chestnut gelding.  Regularly described as a “powerhouse” his dramatic paces bely his diminutive frame.  With an extravagant canter, a natural ability for piaffe and extensions that regularly earn him 9’s, he is surely destined for exciting things in the dressage arena.   His amiable nature makes him a firm favourite on the yard and he is always willing to entertain with his repertoire of tricks.  He has recently started training with International Grand Prix dressage rider Anna Ross Davies and we are excited to see what this combination will achieve in the future.

Mio Weltamore is by Weltruhm, who stands at the state stud at Celle.  He achieved the highest dressage score during his stallion performance test and his own excellent rideability as well as his talent for dressage is passed on to his offspring. Weltruhm possesses excellent basic paces, outstanding rideability and a superb character, he has sired more than 50 State Premium mares and 7 licensed sons.   His mother Ronja is by Ravallo, winner of his performance test and known for producing horses of good type with elastic, uphill movement and excellent trainability and personality.  His maternal grandmother is by Acapulco who  descends from the famous Absatz line through Akzent II. Absatz, is one of the few sires who had an enormous impact on Hanoverian breeding after the Second World War. He endowed his foals with light, free action, superb conformation and an unparalleled disposition, which made them extremely easy to train. In this way, he gave the modern Hanoverian characteristics and incomparable 'Absatz type’ from which this breed still profits even today.
