Peridot is a gorgeous bright bay colt by Peron out of Linguistic, he is the friendliest foal and charms everyone he meets.
Peron is a stunning Oldenburg stallion who impresses with not only his beauty but his pedigree and sporting ability too. At 10 years old he has already enjoyed success at Intermediaire II and is the sire of champion foals and ridden horses along with Bundeschampionship qualifiers. Peron's father Pentagon (registered in Germany as Placido Sun), won his stallion performance test and along with Peron, has sired Bundeschampion mares, national champions, mare performance test winners and foal champions in Austria and Germany. He is by the famous Pik Bube son Placido. Pik Bube was a genius on the international dressage scene with a series of overwhelming successes. He is also well known as the sire of many licensed stallions, and it is through him that the grandiose thoroughbred blood of Pik As XX exerts much of its influence. Peron's mother St.Pr. Farina is the full sister to Don Schufro, the Grand Prix stallion who has been victorious in international competitions and has led the German Breeding Index on a whopping 7 occasions. Peron's mother line goes back to probably the most significant line of the post-war period. This mare line, the root of the Finnländerin is among the best and most successful in the modern sport horse breeding. It rises from the line of Kebandina of Kirkland, on which the legendary stud Vornholz was founded by the legendary Baron Clemens von Nagel. Peron’s mother Farina is by the excellent breeding stallion Donnerhall, who combined a sports career at Grand Prix level with remarkable breeding performance, including more than 40 approved sons. Farina's damsire is the stallion Pik Bube I, as a brood mare sire, Pik Bube has been a phenomenon, especially when teamed with Donnerhall: Davignon, Don Primero, Don Schufro, Donatelli, Donnerbube, Dream of Glory, Duntroon - all bred on that magic cross Donnerhall/Pik Bube. Peron's full sister Fabiola ltd. Became state champion mare, national riding horse champion, Bundechampion mare and winner of the Oldenburg federation mare performance test. Peron has also made an impression through performance, with successes through the levels including the CDI **** in Salzburg where Peron took two 2nd places (one of which scored over 70%) in Intermediaire I. He has numerous successes with his progeny including the German National Foal Champion in Lienen and under saddle the state champion of riding horses 2008 and 2009. He has also sired State Premium mares.
Linguistic or Tia as she is known at home is a lovely bay mare who takes her elegant looks and easy going temperament from her father Lingh as well as a super hindleg from her mother Tiara. Linguistic was the highest scoring three year old at her recent British Equestrian Federation Futurity evaluations. Her father Lingh began his breeding career in 2005 before being sold to the US in 2006 so we feel privileged to have one of the very few Lingh mares in the UK today and are looking forward to using her as part of our breeding program. Throughout his performance career, Lingh has been one of the highest FEI-ranked dressage stallions in the world. He has had exceptional successes and numerous placings in international Grand Prix with Edward Gal and Karin Offield. The best-known are the second place finishes of Lingh and Gal in the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas in 2005, and in Dusseldorf in 2004. Lingh received the top score of 10 for his phenomenal piaffe, passage and the transitions. In 2005, Lingh was approved by the KWPN studbook, he is described as an honest and trustworthy stallion that is easy to work with. Lingh is a modern dressage stallion with outstanding conformation. He has a very good temperament and loves to work; he also learns very easily. Lingh comes from the mareline 711, which has produced seven approved stallions. Lingh's offspring are described as being very elegant, light and athletic and Linguistic is no exception to this. For more information please see Lingh’s page in our Sires section. Linguistic’s mother Tiara is by the stallion Metall whose offspring inherit his stunning conformation, and a high degree of quality and refinement. They are built very uphill and have beautiful heads. Their movements show great finesse with much power in the hind legs, lots of elevation in the front legs, and they have supple backs. Her maternal Grandfather is Balzflug who is bred out of the best performance bloodlines in the Trakehner Studbook. His sire Habicht is noted as one of the most influential sires of excellent dressage ability, having produced many nationally ranked top mares and several approved stallions including Olympic Cocktail. Having bred 3 super foals Tiara has now changed career and despite her late start is training successfully with Andrew Gould.
