Delightful, a beautiful liver chestnut mare who more than lives up to her name. She has impeccable bloodlines and is the producer of truly breath taking foals. Delightful is a modern type with a super hind leg and expressive paces. She has a kind easy going temperament and has proved to be a wonderful mother.  She has produced three outstanding foals by Breitling W and is back in foal to him this year.

Delightful is by Dimaggio, the 2000 World Champion of five year old dressage horses, and one of the most successful stallions standing today in the UK. He is a noble, modern Hanoverian with three outstanding basic paces. He has a phenomenal trot with very strong and balanced engagement, his canter is ground covering and uphill and his walk shows well lengthening strides. Dimaggio is descended from 9 Grand Prix stallions including his sire, Don Primero, who was the 1990 Bundeschampion of German dressage horses and highly successful in international Grand Prix. The dam's sire, World Cup I, won his performance test, was the DLG Reserve Champion Stallion twice, received the "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" award and sired numerous successful dressage horses. Dimaggio is known for producing talented, modern types who include licensed sons, sale toppers and competition winners.

Delightful’s mother is by the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year De Niro referred to as "the embodiment of the Hanoverian stallion, De Niro is the heir apparent to Donnerhall, and his grand dam sire Akzent II.  De Niro is an exceptional stallion of superlative type and performance. He is a wonderful combination of the best Trakehner bloodlines, with a dash of Thoroughbred, ensuring his success as a sire of noble riding horses including over 60 licensed sons. Delightful’s grandmother Andona is a full sister to the legendary Rubinstein who was himself a double world champion, fourfold European champion and sired over 60 licensed sons. Former federal trainer of the German dressage elite, Johann Kinnemann, said of him, ". . when we consider a stallion of the century, we refer to Rubinstein." Andona’s dam Antine is the full-sister of Amon and Ahlerich as well as the mare Adone, who together with Romadour II gave birth to Rembrandt. What's more, Romadour II is the grandsire of Rubinstein with his gold plated pedigree. And what a pedigree it is!
